Georgina Spring Fling is Ready to Run on Sunday May 3rd
Record lake levels and persistent rain this spring have given the Town of Georgina extra work to keep Lake Simcoe from interfering with the Georgina Spring Fling race. Residents along the course on Lake Drive East have battled water encroaching on their property, sometimes reaching as high as two feet deep on the road. Georgina Spring Fling Turns Five
In 2022 the first Georgina Spring Fling started with three distances (21.1 KM, 10KM & 5KM) with just over 400 runners. It turned out runners liked this early-season event, and the full marathon distance was added the next year.
